November 2nd, from 10am-5pm at The New School, 65 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York Coalition for Peace & Justice is finally holding our long discussed event: One Year Later for Peace and Justice: A Conference of Neighborhood Organizers. This gathering will bring together peace & justice organizers from community groups throughout NYC to network and to share strategies and lessons from the struggle against the U.S. government's "endless war" abroad and at home. The conference will be a working conference with the bulk of the time devoted to participatory workshop discussions.
Most of us in the Coalition are active in peace, anti-racist and repression, immigrant rights and labor rights struggles in community groups across the city and the conference will benefit our your participation and sharing of experiences. All NYCPJ members are welcome to attend, but we are particularly urging those of you who work with neighborhood groups to come and bring others from your groups. Conference form:
